Yes. Our favorite comprehensive reference book is "Spielzeug aus dem Erzgebirge" by Karen Helling, 1999, publisher Husum Druck, in German language only. It is an outstanding book for the serious collector and is primarily focused on pre-WWII items. It is filled with history and photographs including some from manufacturers' catalogs and dates of production. It can be readily purchased from Germany and sometimes from the U.K. for about the equivalent of the equivalent of $65-75. See Resources below. IMPORTANT: Be certain to look for this author's name ---- Karen Helling ---- as there is another book with the same title.
