Yes. There are many, but our favorite is "Spielzeug aus dem Erzgebirge" by Karen Helling, 1999, publisher Husum (in German language). It is an outstanding book for collectibles made in the Erzgebirge region and is primarily focused on pre-WWII items. It contains 167+ pages filled with history and photographs including some from manufacturers' catalogs. There are examples that include the manufacturer, dates of manufacture and town of origin. Although the book is in the German language, it is still a must-have for referral by photos. It is available on Germany's Amazon and usually on Germany's eBay. It is relatively expensive with shipping costs included (equivalent of roughly $75), but well worth the investment. Consider searching for a seller who offers the option of international ground (land/sea) shipping which is significantly less expensive than airmail. IMPORTANT: Be certain to look for this author's name - Karen Helling - as there is another book with the same title.
